The Curaçao U17 National Baseball Team won the bronze medal at the South American Youth Games in Panama.
The team secured the bronze medal with an impressive 14–0 victory over Brazil in the third-place game. Curaçao dominated from the very first inning, combining a powerful offensive performance with outstanding pitching and excellent teamwork on the field.
This achievement marks a historic milestone, as it is Curaçao’s first-ever baseball medal at the South American Youth Games. The performance reflects the talent, dedication, and determination of our young athletes, who proudly represented the island on the international stage.
FDOK would also like to express its sincere appreciation to the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (OWCS), Mr. Sithree van Heydoorn, for providing our young athletes with the opportunity to compete at this level.
Congratulations to our National Baseball Team, the coaching staff, and everyone who contributed to this remarkable achievement. This bronze medal is a proud moment for Curaçao and an inspiration for the next generation of athletes.
